Bangladesh: Islamists clash with police, 5 dead

(Dhaka) Still angry at how Delwar Hossain Sayedee, the vice-president of the Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami, has been sentenced to death for his part in killing of thousands of Bangladeshi people during the war of independence from Pakistan in 1971, party members decided to have a go at the local police who, after having 17 of their men injured by the peaceful followers, took out their guns and opened fire. 5 deaths later and the moral of never bringing a knife to a gun fight never rung so true.
