CAIR officials question whether troops deserve to be honored on Memorial Day

(Washington) On the last Monday of every May, Americans take time to remember those who gave their lives so that Americans (and others) can live in peace. Myself, as a Brit, am thankful that I speak English and not German. There must be plenty of others who are glad they don't speak Korean, Italian or Japanese. Other countries have something similar, in the UK we have 'Remembrance Sunday', the French and the Russians do the same on May Day. So it's a common act of remembrance.

However, to the religious bigots at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Memorial Day is a stain.

Yup, the idiots at CAIR questioned whether fallen American Soldiers deserved to be honored, while claiming on Twitter that America was “established upon white supremacy”.

Zahra Billoo, executive director of CAIR's San Francisco Bay Area chapter, said on Twitter that she “struggles with Memorial Day each year”.

Oh, she deleted the tweet, but in this day and age, people capture such things.

If that wasn't bad enough,  the executive director of CAIR's San Francisco Bay Area chapter did find a soldier she could support. Imam Jamil al-Amin, a member of the Black Panthers who was convicted of murdering a police officer in 2000.
