Austrla: Teen charged with plotting terror attack along with 12-year-old

(Wien) Lorenz K a 18 year old teen has been charged in Austria on charges of attempting to carry out a terrorist attack in both Austria and Germany in 2016. Lorenz K.the son of Albanian parents, born and raised in Austria, is said to have  produced a nail bomb, of planning attacks in Germany and Austria, and brainwashing  a 12-year-old Iraqi child to carry out aattack on a Christmas market in November 2016, which failed due to technical problems. It transpires that Lorenz K was radicalised inside prison in 2015 at the age of 16 inside prison during a stretch for robbery. On his release he fell under the spell of Austrian hate preacher Mirsad Omerovic  who was jailed for 20 years in 2016 for… recruiting volunteers for Islamic State who convinced him to do his bit for ISIS inside Europe.

The charges state that he downloaded instructions from the internet on how to make a bomb, sent them to the Iraqi child via messenger service Whatsapp whom he had brainwashed to join his nefarious club. The 12-year-old, who was born in Germany to Iraqi parents, created a device containing fireworks powder and nails and attempted to blow it up at the Ludwigshafen Christmas market on November 26th 2016.

Thankfully it failed to detonate. The boy tried again on December 5th, but this time a pedestrian spotted the bag containing the explosive device and alerted police. Since being detained  the 12-year-old has been under special state care in Germany because he is too young to face criminal charges.
